eight | blur

I took this photo in Shanghai while walking the streets in the evening. I was able to create this effect by setting my ISO very low (ISO 200), and then following the biker with my camera as I took the shot. This provided the "blur" in the background, while keeping the biker in focus.

seven | nightlife

This photo was taken on the streets of Hong Kong at night. I've always been fascinated by the constant glow of neon signs lining the streets of China

As you can see, I've fallen a bit behind in my posts. I realized that sometimes, I just can't find time to shoot, edit, and post when I find my free time is limited. I'll be posting 52 of my favorite shots this year. Thought, it will likely not be in a weekly post!

four | inverted

This photo was taken through my car window during the storm we had this week. The view is inverted on the raindrops, which adds a really cool effect to the photo (you'll want to click on the photo to view it full screen to get the full effect).

three | zihuatanejo

This photo was taken up in Napa, along the St. Helena Highway. It was a really foggy weekend, but the Mustard stood out in the vineyards...sort of a "sunshine" on a dreary day. (P.S. - for those who don't know, the title is a reference to the Shawshank Redemption, because this picture reminded me of the field with the lone tree where Andy visited before going to Zihuatanejo)

one | anchor christmas

I took this photo of an Anchor Christmas Ale magnum by "light painting" onto the label. I opened up the exposure, and "painted" red and green light (from my iPod Touch) on either side of the label to get the above effect
